COVID-19 Update

Good evening,

There are a lot of things happening in our schools across the state.  Here is an update of some of the news releases that happened today.

Governor Greg Abbott issued a declaration of public health disaster Thursday, saying the orders issued under that declaration are intended to help contain the spread of COVID-19.  Among the many items listed in the declaration, Texas public schools will be closed thru April 3rd.  At Harmony High School, we are preparing many resources and strategies for our students to access online and at the school.  We will release more details very soon regarding these resources.

In addition, the UIL extended the suspension of all activities due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.  All contests, practices, rehearsals and workouts will remain suspended until further notice.

At this time, the earliest games and contests may resume is Monday, May 4th. Prior to this date, the UIL will allow its member schools a reasonable acclimatization period for rehearsals and practices to occur.  We will continue to update parents and students on the changes as we get closer to the date.

Thank you to our parents, students, and community for your support and patience as we navigate this difficult situation.  Harmony Eagles are amazing!!  #ALLIN
