We’re excited to welcome Harmony graduates Katie and Daven Murphree back to our school community! While attending Harmony High School, Daven made school history by winning the 2A State Championship in the pole vault for three consecutive years. He went on to compete at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he was a four-year Southland Conference pole vaulter, a four-time NCAA First Round National Qualifier, and earned Academic All-American honors in 2015. Daven currently serves at Mineola ISD as Offensive Coordinator and Head Girls Track Coach. Daven will be teaching and coaching at the high school campus, and Katie will be teaching at the elementary campus in the fall. Welcome Back to Harmony!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this week’s Junior High and High School track meets a success! It truly takes a team effort to host an event like this, and we are incredibly grateful for all of the people who stepped up to help. Thank you to our H Club and all of the workers who ran the concession stand and kept everyone fed with burgers and fries. A special thank you to Coach Glenn for getting our meet started and to Coach Herber for coming out of retirement to help run the meet. Your willingness to serve our students does not go unnoticed! We are also grateful to our administrators and coaches who helped with timing and worked events to keep the meet running smoothly. And a big thank you to Mrs. Porter and her culinary classes for providing a great meal for all of the coaches at both meets. Thank you to the students who stepped up to help throughout the meets by setting hurdles, working events, helping in the concession stand, and running papers to the press box. Your hard work and willingness to help made a big difference. Hosting a meet like this simply would not be possible without everyone working together. Thank you all for giving your time and energy to support our students and our school!
