Contractors working in the new hallway were cleaning the area and removing the dust covers from the smoke detectors, which caused the alarm to activate.
Mr. Gray and our SRO responded quickly and determined that it was not a true emergency.

The first day of school is almost here! Please take a few minutes to review the attached Arrival Information and Transportation Procedures to help make the start of the school year safe and smooth for everyone.
⏰ Morning Reminders:
🍳 7:15 a.m. – Cafeteria opens for students eating breakfast.
🚪 7:30 a.m. – Elementary doors open for students not eating breakfast.
🔔 7:45 a.m. – First bell rings.
⏰ 7:50 a.m. – Tardy bell rings.
🚗 Transportation Reminders:
Please review the attached traffic map for your child's designated drop-off and pick-up location.
Afternoon car riders will receive two car tags. For student safety, a car tag or valid photo ID is required for student pick-up.
Any transportation changes must be made through the front office by 2:00 p.m.
❤️ Parents of elementary students are welcome to walk their child to class on the first two days of school (August 12 & 13).

Today was an exciting milestone as we officially celebrated the ribbon cutting for our new elementary addition! While we're putting the finishing touches on construction, we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students and staff into these beautiful new learning spaces.
🏫 Construction is almost complete, with everything expected to be finished by Labor Day.
✨ Our new wing and campus updates are going to provide incredible opportunities for our Eagles for years to come.
A huge thank you to our school board, district leadership, construction teams, staff, and community for making this vision a reality. We are grateful for the investment in our students and the future of Harmony ISD.
